Our story

1962

Charly de Bab el Oued

Charly Drigues opens a small couscous restaurant in the 15th arrondissement. It quickly becomes the haunt of everyone who loves this cuisine.

Porte Maillot

His nephew Claude Drigues opens his own Charly de Bab el Oued in the 17th, at Porte Maillot.

Le Sud

Claude opens Le Sud, a Provençal restaurant. The family cultivates a taste for sunshine and fresh market produce.

La Maison de Charly

Claude and his son open La Maison de Charly: a more intimate, more upscale setting, like a riad beneath a glass roof and two palm trees.

Charly, simply

In 2024, the Provençal inspiration of Le Sud joins that of La Maison de Charly: Charly, a Mediterranean restaurant, is born. Under the glass roof, two olive trees now watch over the room.
